Raising awareness on Sexual Rights

We implement media campaigns to raise awareness on Sexual Rights. This is because
Sexual rights are part of existing human rights and fundamental freedoms, including the
right to life, to privacy, to freedom of thought and expression, to freedom from violence,
to education and information, to equality, to freedom from all forms of discrimination,
and to the highest attainable standard of health. These rights are set out and endorsed
in the following national laws and international conventions, treaties, and documents:
a) The Uganda Constitution of 1995
b) Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
c) International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR)
d) International Covenant on Economic Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR)
e) Convention Against Torture (CAT)
f) Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW)
g) Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC)

h) Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD)
i) Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD)
j) Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families (CMW)
k) Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance (CED)
l) 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
m) International Conference on Population and Development Programme of Action (ICPD PoA)
n) Beijing Platform for Action (BPfA) SERIDNET media campaigns address and focus on sexual rights as set out and endorsed in the above national laws and international conventions, treaties, and documents
